"THE LONDON VIDEO" Review

Mentioned riders:
Benny Abeyta Jakub Kucharzyszyn Sam Chamberlain Yakob Swyer

I was unaware of the artist Beattie, and checking out their low follow count on Spotify I bet you were as well. But after Sam's video, I don't know if I will ever get their song London out of my head. A dreamy vaguely Mazzy Star-esque tune that blends beautifully with the unmistakably London VX B-roll. I can't wait to flex this new artist knowledge to all my non-bmx friends. Thanks Sam!

After the exceptionally vibey UK intro, we get into the heart of the video. Starting with a quite massive switch bar from Jakub Kucharzyszyn .

Prior to that we see the classic VX1000 WB settings overlaid on the screen... Was this done in post or is that a feature of the tapeless VX setup I think sam is using? Sick either way.

I am always impressed when I see a line that ends filmed from the front looking back in a BMX video. I don't think people appreciate how hard that can be for BMX filmers compared to our skate filmer relatives.

Sam's wallie - sprocket bash to nose 180 line on those black blocks was outstanding. I now want to go learn how to do that sprocket to nose 180 maneuver. Oh yeah, then he does the sprocket bash to 360 later in the video... What!!

Together by Ruff Sqwad goes so well in this edit, and really picks up the pace.

All-in-all, this is a cohesive, authentic feeling UK street video that checks all the boxes. This will definitely be getting added to my regular watchlist.
